This show was nutty last week, with a rad poster to boot. Support included Grand Collapse and The Break Out. Thought the sound engineer was going to just kill the power at the end of the night as VItamin X just didn’t want to stop.

So I got a Warren Ellis comic from the library, and once again someone has decided to censor (what I assume are) all the really interesting swear words. All I can say is that I’m glad it was Planetary and not Transmetropolitan - if you cleaned that up it’d resemble a bullet-ridden doily.

NO OMEGA - SLEEPING IN

sleeping in
it puts me to sleep
i dig into this frozen dirt to see what lies beneath
i dig into frozen dirt to be
in a worthless, cold and empty grave
for a man so sick no god could ever save
A MAN SO SICK NO GOD COULD SAVE
so this leads me to believe that I shrink become thin
and that love is a lottery i’ll never win
it’s not your fault
but still i’m losing faith in
everyone i know
so this leads me to believe that I shrink become thin
still i’m losing faith in everyone i know
and that life is a lottery, that i’ll
NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER WIN

No Omega, blazing the show <3

Booklet insert from LOOK AT ALL THE CHILDREN NOW… A NEW YORK HARDCORE COMPILATION released by EVACUATE RECORDS in 1990.

Served as first recordings for many bands which went on to establish themselves strongly, moving individually away from the NY tough-guy mosh metal (which by and large the city is still best known for today).

RIP

December 27th

10:02PM // 7 notes

It is getting to be that time of year again. When everything that is going to happen in the year, has already happened. Accompanied, as ever, by that drizzle of rain as weak as an old man’s piss. 2012 is almost over. Not all stars have aligned this year, but however momentarily - some did. I made a lot of excellent friends this year, from all over. That’s the main thing this year has given me which I am grateful for. That and the fact I can’t drive for shit. My friends have been very good to me this year. I’m now looking forward to 12 months to pay it back. 12 months to pay it forward. 12 months to pay it back. 12 months to pay it forward. 12 months to pay it back. 12 months to pay it forward. 12 months to pay it back. 12 months to pay it forward. 12 months to pay it back. 12 months to pay it forward. 12 months to pay it back. 12 months to pay it forward.

There’s no other goal.
